Deductions from retirement allowances
Civil Service (CVS) CHAPTER 7, ARTICLE 10
§ 157. Deductions from retirement allowances. A person who (1) retired
from employment with the state, (2) is receiving a retirement allowance
from a state retirement system, and (3) at the time of his retirement
had group life insurance premiums and employee organization dues
deducted from his salary, may elect to have deductions for such purposes
made from his retirement allowance by providing notification in writing
to the head of the retirement system from which he retired. Such life
insurance deduction shall be transmitted to the insurance carrier. Such
dues deduction shall be transmitted to the employee organization. Any
such written authorization may be withdrawn by such retired employee at
any time upon written notice of such withdrawal to the head of the
retirement system from which he retired.
