Acceptance of law of the United States
Education (EDN) CHAPTER 16, TITLE 1, ARTICLE 21
§ 1006. Acceptance of law of the United States. The state of New
York, through its legislative authority:
1. Accepts the provisions of any law of the United States making
appropriation to be apportioned among the states for vocational
rehabilitation of disabled persons, and accepts the provisions of any
law of the United States making appropriation for apportionment or
grants among the states for services for disabled persons.
2. Empowers and directs the board of regents of the university, hereby
designated the New York state board for vocational education, to
cooperate with such agency as the federal government shall designate to
carry out the purposes of such law.
3. Appoints the commissioner of taxation and finance and the state
comptroller as joint custodians of all money given to the state by the
United States under the authority of such law, and such money shall be
paid out in the manner provided by such act for the purposes therein
specified.
