§ 51-0901. Allocation of moneys.
Of the moneys received by the state from the sale of bonds pursuant to
the environmental quality bond act of nineteen hundred seventy-two, one
hundred seventy-five million dollars ($175,000,000) shall be expended
pursuant to appropriations thereof, for municipal solid waste management
projects, including at least five million dollars ($5,000,000) of this
amount which shall be earmarked for resource recovery equipment, source
separation equipment, or both, for the implementation of small scale,
low-technology approaches to resource recovery, including source
separation programs, recycling centers, composting projects and other
solid waste recovery and management projects with a design capacity of
less than one hundred tons per day.
