    No effect on marital status

    Family Court Act (FCT) CHAPTER 686, ARTICLE 9, PART 1

    § 914. No effect on marital status. The family court in a proceeding
    under this article may not issue any order affecting the marital status
    of the petitioner or of the petitioner's spouse or relieving either of
    any marital obligation.
