Power of supreme court justices in Nassau county to appoint law stenographers and typists

§ 165. Power of supreme court justices in Nassau county to appoint law
stenographers and typists. The justice or justices of the supreme court
residing in Nassau county, or a majority of them, may appoint and at
pleasure remove and prescribe the duties of twenty law stenographers and
typists, who shall receive such compensation as may be fixed by the
board of supervisors of such county. Such compensation shall be a charge
against such county and shall be paid by the treasurer thereof in
bi-weekly installments upon the certificate of such justice or justices,
or a majority of them.
