Compensation
Judiciary (JUD) CHAPTER 30, ARTICLE 22
§ 852. Compensation. 1. For the performance of an assignment
hereunder, each judicial hearing officer shall receive his actual and
necessary expenses thereby incurred plus compensation in an amount to be
established by the chief administrator of the courts. Such expenses and
compensation shall be state charges payable out of funds appropriated to
the administrative office for the courts for such purpose. A judicial
hearing officer shall receive no other compensation for the performance
of services in such capacity.
2. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, where a person is a
"retired person", as such term is defined in article seven of the
retirement and social security law, service as a judicial hearing
officer shall be subject to the provisions of that article.
