Construction and saving clause
Labor (LAB) CHAPTER 31, ARTICLE 20-A
§ 731. Construction and saving clause. 1. Nothing contained in this
article shall be construed to relieve any labor organization, employer
organization, or any of its officers, agents, employees, representatives
or members, or any employer or labor relations consultant from
compliance with any other provision of this chapter or any other
applicable law of this state.
2. Nothing contained in this article shall be construed to limit the
responsibilities or duties of any officer or agent of a labor
organization or employer organization under the common law or any law of
this state, and nothing contained in this article shall be construed to
take away or limit any right or remedy to which members of a labor
organization or employer organization are entitled under the common law
or any law of this state.
3. Nothing contained in this article shall be construed to limit or
otherwise affect the right of any person under any statute or rule of
law to organize or join labor organizations, to bargain collectively, to
picket, strike, or engage in other concerted activities for the purpose
of collective bargaining or other mutual aid and protection, or the
right of any labor organization under any statute or rule of law to
carry on such activities, nor to enlarge or otherwise affect the power
of courts to issue injunctions under section eight hundred seven of this
chapter.
