Sewer districts created
Public Authorities (PBA) CHAPTER 43-A, ARTICLE 5, TITLE 6-D
§ 1147-b. Sewer districts created. There are hereby created four
separate sewer districts: one encompassing the village of Almond, to be
known as the Almond village sewer district; one encompassing all of that
portion of the town of Alfred outside the village of Alfred, to be known
as sewer district number one of the town of Alfred; one encompassing all
that portion of the town of Almond outside the village of Almond, to be
known as sewer district number one of the town of Almond; and one
encompassing that portion of the town of Hornellsville within the bounds
of the authority created by this title to be known as sewer district
number one of the town of Hornellsville. The lands within such
Hornellsville sewer district number one begin at the common boundary of
Allegany and Steuben counties and are within (a) a corridor one thousand
feet from and parallel to the westerly side of state route twenty-one
and one thousand feet from and parallel to the easterly side of state
route twenty-one as extended northerly to where the Morris bridge
crosses the Canacada creek, and (b) a corridor beginning where the
westerly line of the corridor described in clause (a) above intersects a
point one thousand feet west of the westerly side of Webbs Crossing Road
and a point where such westerly line of such corridor intersects a point
one thousand feet from the easterly side of Webbs Crossing Road thence
extending north one thousand feet west of Webbs Crossing Road and one
thousand feet east of Webbs Crossing Road to a point one thousand feet
past the northerly line of the intersection of Doorley Road and Webbs
Crossing Road.
Each town board of each of such towns shall, on behalf of their
respective districts and the board of trustees of such village, have the
power to contract with the authority to carry out the purposes and
intent of this title including the power to levy and collect fees,
charges and assessments upon real property within each such district to
pay for any charges, expenses, costs or amounts agreed upon with such
authority.
