Removals
Public Service (PBS) CHAPTER 48, ARTICLE 1
§ 4-b. Removals. The governor may remove any public service
commissioner, now in office or hereafter appointed, for inefficiency,
neglect of duty or misconduct in office, giving him a copy of the
charges against him, and an opportunity of being publicly heard in
person or by counsel in his own defense, upon not less than ten days'
notice. If such commissioner shall be removed the governor shall file in
the office of the department of state a complete statement of charges
made against such commissioner, and his findings thereon, together with
a complete record of the proceeding.
