Changing number of laymen trustees
Religious Corporations (RCO) CHAPTER 51, ARTICLE 18
§ 346. Changing number of laymen trustees. An incorporated church to
which this article is applicable may, at its annual corporate meeting
where trustees are elected, by a majority vote of the duly qualified
voters at such meeting, change the number of its trustees by adding more
trustees, one-third of which shall be elected for three years, one-third
for two years and one-third for one year; or by voting to discontinue
the offices of certain specified trustees as they expire, one-third of
said offices to be discontinued each year, until the number left is the
number decided upon. No such changes shall affect the terms of the
trustees then in office, but each shall hold office until his full term
has expired unless his office shall terminate as provided for elsewhere
in this article.
