LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Munns-
ville Volunteer Fire Department

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proud to commemorate the 100th Anni-
versary of the Munnsville Volunteer Fire Department and to honor its
past and present firefighting members for providing the citizens of the
Munnsville Fire District with 100 years of excellent fire protection;
and
WHEREAS, Volunteer fire departments are an integral part of community
protection in localities across this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, For the past 100 years, the courageous and dedicated fire-
fighters of the Munnsville Volunteer Fire Department have valiantly
volunteered their time to respond to various fire emergencies, while
earning the praise and respect of the community which they serve; and
WHEREAS, The Munnsville Volunteer Fire Department is celebrating 100
years of dedicated fire and EMS service to the people of the Village of
Munnsville, and the Town of Stockbridge; a weekend-long celebration will
be held July 12-14, 2013, with many vendors, rides, and games, as well
as fireworks, a parade, and a car show; the official ceremony will take
place on Saturday, July 13, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Each day, the brave members of the Munnsville Volunteer Fire
Department prepare to risk their lives in order to selflessly protect
the life and property of all those living within their community; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body cannot express sufficient gratitude to
those trained and devoted individuals who serve and protect their commu-
nities through volunteer fire departments across this great Empire
State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
proudly commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Munnsville Volunteer
Fire Department; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Munnsville Volunteer Fire Department.
