LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Hollis Hills Civic Association upon
the occasion of hosting its Annual Street Fair
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those organizations which contribute to the improvement and
enhancement of the quality of life in the communities they represent;
and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body recog-
nizes the many contributions of the Hollis Hills Civic Association, and
wishes this worthy organization continued success in its proactive
mission to benefit the communities it represents; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Hollis Hills Civic Association upon the occasion of hosting its Annual
Street Fair; and
WHEREAS, The community of Hollis Hills is a wonderful part of North-
eastern Queens with approximately 1,550 homes located within Hollis
Hills; and
WHEREAS, In addition to its annual Street Fair, Hollis Hills Civic
Association hosts numerous programs including, Get Rid of Graffiti
Project, and Home Burglary Prevention and Safety Project; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proudly moved to honor and commend
the Hollis Hills Civic Association, which has labored so conscientiously
to secure and improve the quality of life for the residents and communi-
ty it serves, noting the significance of its unremitting efforts to
build a commonality of interest and pride of cooperative achievement,
inherent in the values of community and family life; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Hollis Hills Civic Association upon the occasion of hosting its
Annual Street Fair; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Hollis Hills Civic Association.
