LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Mr. Stan Rummel upon the occasion
of his designation as recipient of the Riverside School Bell Award

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who enhance
the life in their community and have shown a long and sustained commit-
ment to excellence certainly have earned recognition and applause; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Mr. Stan Rummel upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of the Riverside School Bell Award; and
WHEREAS, Every June, the Old Fort House Museum in Fort Edward, New
York, selects several standout retired educators for this prestigious
award; and
WHEREAS, Stan Rummel served at Glens Falls High School for 34 years,
most of it being spent as the school's assistant principal; he moved to
Lake George in 1964 with his wife and daughter and served as the school
disciplinarian built on respect for and respect of the young adult; and
WHEREAS, Affiliated with the Caldwell Presbyterian Church of Lake
George, the Kiwanis Club, and the Glens Falls Area Youth Center, Mr.
Stan Rummel retired in 1998, but education, compassion, and giving back
to the community are all part of his life working under the radar; and
WHEREAS, A true asset to society, Stan Rummel's distinguished record
merits the recognition and respectful tribute of this Legislative Body;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Mr. Stan Rummel upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the Riverside School Bell Award; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Mr. Stan Rummel.
