LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Producer Albert Nocciolino upon
the occasion of winning his fourth Tony Award, Broadway's highest honor

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend outstanding individuals whose creative talents have contributed
to the entertainment and cultural enrichment of the citizens of the
State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Producer Albert Nocciolino upon the occasion of winning his fourth
Tony Award on Sunday, June 9, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Albert Nocciolino received the illustrious Tony Award for
being one of the producers of "Kinky Boots," which won for Best Musical;
and
WHEREAS, Albert Nocciolino is a seven-time Tony nominee and four-time
winner; in addition to this years honor, he won Tony Awards in 2010 for
"La Cage aux Folles," 2005 for "Spamalot," and 2002 for "Thoroughly
Modern Millie"; and
WHEREAS, Albert Nocciolino, the Rochester Broadway Theatre League
Partner/Presenter for 30 years, serves as President and CEO of NAC
Entertainment, Ltd., a company he founded in 1976; and
WHEREAS, NAC is a diversified entertainment and theatrical company
specializing in the presentation of National Touring Broadway shows in
New York State (Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Binghamton and Elmira) and
the State of Pennsylvania (Scranton and Erie); and
WHEREAS, Albert Nocciolino has presented shows for over 35 years; in
addition to directing the Broadway subscription seasons in these cities,
he is also responsible for producing and co-producing Broadway shows on
Broadway and national touring shows across the country; and
WHEREAS, He also co-produced "Driving Miss Daisy" on Broadway starring
James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave; he also co-produced with the IPN
the following Broadway and national tours: Tony Nominated - "Ragtime,"
2010 Tony Award winner for Best Revival of a Musical - "La Cage aux
Folles," "Legally Blonde," 2005 Tony Award winner for Best Musical -
Monty Python's "Spamalot," and the 2002 Drama Desk and Tony Award winner
for Best Musical - "Thoroughly Modern Millie"; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, Albert Nocciolino co-produced and invested in
the National Tours "The Full Monty," "Guys and Dolls" starring Maurice
Hinds, "Rent," "De La Guarda," Tony Nominated - "Annie," "Fame," Tony
Nominated - "Peter Pan" with Cathy Rigby, "West Side Story," "Jellies
Last Jam," "A Chorus Line: The Broadway Tour of America," "Six Degrees
of Separation," the Pulitzer-Prize winning play "The Piano Lesson," "The
Fantasticks" starring Robert Goulet, and two shows in Las Vegas: "The
Great Radio City Spectacular" and "Forever Plaid"; and
WHEREAS, Albert Nocciolino has been a Tony Award voting member since
1982; he is 'Vice Chairman of the Road' of the Broadway League (the
national trade association for the Broadway industry), a founding member
and Chairman of the National Touring Theatre Council, and is President
of the Independent Presenters Network (IPN); and
WHEREAS, A graduate of The Wharton School at the University of Penn-
sylvania, Albert Nocciolino's celebrated career in the theatrical enter-
tainment business has spanned over 30 years; and
WHEREAS, Albert Nocciolino is also a dedicated community member and
today serves on the boards of the Binghamton University Council, the
Lourdes Hospital Foundation, and the Broome County Community Charities,
currently serving as its President; and

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to honor the
distinguished work of those talented citizens of the State of New York
who distinguish themselves in their profession and whose gift, charisma
and unique personality permeate all they do; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Producer Albert Nocciolino upon the occasion of winning his
fourth Tony Award, Broadway's highest honor; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Albert Nocciolino.
