LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Timothy Michael Adams upon the
occasion of his designation as recipient of the 2013 Geneseean of the
Year Award by the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of business organ-
izations and individuals that generously contribute to the welfare of
the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Timothy Michael Adams upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the 2013 Geneseean of the Year Award by the Genesee County
Chamber of Commerce; this momentous occasion will be celebrated at the
Chamber's Annual Awards Ceremony, to be held on Saturday, February 22,
2014, at the Clarion Hotel; and
WHEREAS, Timothy Michael Adams of Stafford, New York, is genuinely
committed to his community year after year; he is a leader, volunteer
far beyond the call of duty, and sets a strong example for the youth of
Genesee County; and
WHEREAS, Owner and operator of Adams Welding and Fabrication, Timothy
Michael Adams opened the doors to a new state of the art welding facili-
ty at 5782 Main Road in Stafford, New York; as a business owner, he
supports the WNY Truck and Tractor Association, Toys for Tots, Cross-
roads House in Batavia, and the Taste of Stafford, a benefit for the
Stafford Historical Society; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Timothy Michael Adams works full time for Zylem
Pumps in Batavia, New York, and volunteers for both the Genesee County
4H, and Genesee County Tractor Safety; and
WHEREAS, A member of the 4H organization since the age of 14, Timothy
Michael Adams has led the 4H Swine Club of Genesee County for four
years; he is a member of the youth development committee, and has led
his group of 25 children in countless volunteer and fundraising endeav-
ors; and
WHEREAS, Timothy Michael Adams began as a youth leader with Genesee
County Tractor Safety at the age of 14; with agriculture being the larg-
est industry in the county, he believes it is of utmost importance to
educate the children of his community on tractor safety, and has done so
for the past four years; and
WHEREAS, A small business owner, full time employee, avid volunteer,
and mentor to the children of Genesee County, Timothy Michael Adams is
not only a community leader, and true Geneseean, but an unsung quiet
hero of today; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to Timothy Michael
Adams; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions and individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought
to our attention, they should be recognized by all the citizens of this
great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Timothy Michael Adams upon the occasion of his designation
as recipient of the 2013 Geneseean of the Year Award by the Genesee
County Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Timothy Michael Adams.
