LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending EMS Global, Inc. upon the occasion of
celebrating its 20th Anniversary on October 19, 2013

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those illustrious volunteer organizations within the State of
New York which provide vital emergency medical training services; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
EMS Global, Inc. upon the occasion of its 20th Anniversary to be
observed with a Gala celebration on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at the
Polish Community Club, Utica, New York; the night will include the live
music of Tas Cru and his Blues Band as well as a Chinese Auction; and
WHEREAS, Established in 1993 and registered as a nonprofit organiza-
tion in the State of New York in 1995, the mission of EMS Global, Inc.
is to assist globally in the modernization of the delivery of emergency
medical care; and
WHEREAS, An International Training Organization, EMS Global, Inc. has
successfully worked to provide medical training to individual medical
staffing in the United States, Poland and the Cayman Islands; and
WHEREAS, Over the past 20 years, EMS Global, Inc. has spent a consid-
erable amount of time and effort in the improvement of Emergency Medi-
cine in Poland; furthermore, this vital organization has donated medical
equipment, developed physician and paramedic exchange programs, and
provided lectures and seminars in Poland; and
WHEREAS, In the past few years the focus of EMS Global, Inc. has moved
toward education developing a national American Heart Association train-
ing network in Poland; and
WHEREAS, By providing knowledge and skills to those involved in EMS,
Emergency Medicine, and Emergency Management, EMS Global, Inc. will both
empower them and allow them to improve the emergency medical system and
decrease morbidity and mortality; and
WHEREAS, EMS Global, Inc., a volunteer organization, is a not-for-pro-
fit, non-governmental, grass roots organization and its motto, which
embodies its support of public access defibrillation is: "Shock the
World"; and
WHEREAS, Volunteerism is an essential element of all societies; it
provides a way in which the human values of community, caring and serv-
ing can be sustained and strengthened; and
WHEREAS, Volunteerism promotes family and community solidarity; most
importantly, people who volunteer their time in civic and charitable
endeavors inspire others to the call of volunteerism; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend an organiza-
tion such as EMS Global, Inc. for its continuing efforts in making the
world a better, healthier place for all to live, work, and raise a fami-
ly; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend EMS Global, Inc. upon the occasion of celebrating its 20th Anni-
versary on October 19, 2013; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to EMS Global, Inc.
