LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Jerome McKeever upon the occasion of
receiving a 2014 Scholarship Award from the Major General Irene
Trowell-Harris Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor the young
adults of today and leaders of tomorrow whose character and achievements
best exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Jerome McKeever upon the occasion of receiving a 2014 Scholarship Award
from the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen,
Inc.; and
WHEREAS, A Senior at Newburgh Free Academy, Jerome McKeever plans to
attend the University of Pennsylvania to study international business,
and ultimately earn an MBA from Wharton, the University's top-ranked
business school; and
WHEREAS, Jerome McKeever participated in the Career Opportunities in
Accounting program at SUNY New Paltz where he was given the opportunity
to build such business skills as networking, etiquette and public speak-
ing; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his high school career, Jerome McKeever has
displayed exceptional academic achievement, a strong sense of community
responsibility, and a commitment to excellence which is unparalleled;
and
WHEREAS, Jerome McKeever, in achieving this academic honor, may take
just pride in the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of excel-
lence he brings to his family, friends, community and school; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Jerome McKeever upon the occasion of receiving a 2014 Scholar-
ship Award from the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris Chapter of Tuske-
gee Airmen, Inc., and to extend to him best wishes for a future of
purposeful success and wellbeing; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jerome McKeever.
