LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Fee Brothers
on Tuesday, March 4, 2014
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly recognize those businesses within the State of New York which
have positively impacted their communities; and
WHEREAS, It is the further sense of this Legislative Body to recognize
and support the entrepreneurs of small businesses whose dedication and
accomplishments contribute to the economic health and vitality of the
communities they serve in the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to celebrate
the 150th Anniversary of Fee Brothers with a cocktail party to be held
on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at the family's business; and
WHEREAS, Generations Three and Four will toast to Generations One and
Two and John "Jack" Fee, Generation Three, will inaugurate the opening
of the new warehouse addition; and
WHEREAS, A four generation family business, Fee Brothers has been
manufacturing cocktail mixes, syrups, and other beverage ingredients in
Rochester, New York, since 1864; and
WHEREAS, Fee Brothers is now owned and operated by, fourth generation,
Ellen Fee and Joe Fee; and
WHEREAS, Today, Fee Brothers is furthermore stretching and expanding
by shipping their products overseas and selling their products to a
variety of distributors and restaurants; and
WHEREAS, The Fee family takes pride in their company's history, the
care of bottling their products, and the concern for each customer's
needs, successfully carrying the company into the future; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges this exceptional business and its contributions to the local and
State economies, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the
sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; and
WHEREAS, Small businesses such as Fee Brothers exert a strong, posi-
tive influence on the communities they serve and are a crucial element
in the economy of New York State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Fee Brothers family business on Tues-
day, March 4, 2014; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Ellen Fee and Joe Fee, Fee Brothers.
