LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Louis S. Milo upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by The Cathedral Club of Brooklyn on
February 6, 2014
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those distinguished citizens who devote their time and ener-
gies to the service of their community and profession, participating in
civic affairs and enhancing the character and quality of life for all
citizens; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Louis S. Milo upon the occasion of his designation for special recogni-
tion by The Cathedral Club of Brooklyn; this auspicious occasion will be
celebrated at the Club's 114th Anniversary Dinner, to be held on Thurs-
day, February 6, 2014, at the New York Marriott Marquis, New York, New
York; and
WHEREAS, For the past 25 years, Louis S. Milo has served as founder
and President of Milrose Consultants Inc., the Nation's leading code
consulting and municipal filing services company with headquarters in
New York City, and offices throughout the Northeast; and
WHEREAS, In 1992, Louis S. Milo founded Metropolitan Archives for the
electronic storage of approved municipal documents, architecture and
engineering drawings; now known as Metro Data Corp, the firm protects
over 20,000,000 images, and boasts New York City's largest private
Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Library; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Flushing, Queens, Louis S. Milo holds a bach-
elor's and master's degree from St. John's University; he is a member of
the Union League, Tiro A Segno, Engineers Country Club, Corporate Real
Estate (CoreNet Global) and the Building Owners and Managers Association
International (BOMA); and
WHEREAS, Louis S. Milo remains active with Archbishop Molloy High
School in Brentwood, Queens, and was accepted into the Stanner Hall of
Fame in 2007; he has been honored for his leadership by St. Francis Food
Pantries in New York City, Israel Bonds, New York Special Olympics, and
Saint Dominic's Home; and
WHEREAS, An avid volunteer, Louis S. Milo supports the Tourette
Syndrome Association and the Police Athletic League; in addition, he
actively participates in monthly sandwich making with Janet's Peanut
Butter & Jelly Gang at St. Aidan's Church, which feeds those in need on
Long Island; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his professional and communi-
ty service, a period of constructive involvement, Louis S. Milo has
stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Louis S. Milo has displayed through-
out his life; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Janet, and their
three children, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and
rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their profession and community,
and have shown a long and sustained commitment to excellence, certainly
have earned the recognition and applause of all the citizens of this
great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Louis S. Milo upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by The Cathedral Club of Brooklyn on February 6, 2014; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Louis S. Milo.
