LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Rabbi Anchelle Perl upon the occa-
sion of celebrating his 60th Birthday on February 6, 2014, and recogniz-
ing his many years of exemplary and distinguished service to his commu-
nity

WHEREAS, Spiritual guidance and nurturing are of great import to the
vitality and well-being of all people and every community of this great
State and nation; and
WHEREAS, The character and richness of life are nourished and
fulfilled through the concern and selfless devotion of those who dedi-
cate their purposeful lives in service to their faith and to the
enhancement of the quality of life of others; Rabbi Anchelle Perl is one
such individual; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and fully in accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Rabbi Anchelle Perl upon the occasion of celebrating his 60th
Birthday on Thursday, February 6, 2014, and to recognize his many years
of exemplary and distinguished service to his community; and
WHEREAS, Recognizing the importance of Jewish education, Rabbi
Anchelle Perl has a long and distinguished record of service to the
National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education (NCFJE)
Chabad, headquartered in Mineola, New York; and
WHEREAS, Under the energetic leadership of Director Rabbi Anchelle
Perl, Chabad of Mineola brings the joy of Jewishness to the Long Island
Jewish community; and
WHEREAS, Chabad of Mineola offers numerous weekly and monthly Judaism
study sessions and classes, a full schedule of children's programs, a
popular radio show and telethon and a full-service synagogue; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to the educational, social, religious and humanita-
rian needs of Mineola's Jewish community, Chabad of Mineola serves Long
Island and beyond with crisis intervention and prevention, drug rehabil-
itation, and counseling; and
WHEREAS, Rabbi Anchelle Perl has brought to his ministry an overwhelm-
ing spirit of charity and compassion, acting from vision and enlight-
enment in conducting his administrative and spiritual duties, while
always displaying the highest standards of personal and professional
integrity and dedication; and
WHEREAS, This distinguished man of God has always given enlightenment,
guidance and wisdom to the many entrusted to his care and has adminis-
tered abundantly and unstintingly to the spiritual and corporal needs of
all; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when a person
of such noble aims and accomplishments is brought to our attention it is
appropriate to publicly and jubilantly proclaim and commend that indi-
vidual for the edification of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend and congratulate Rabbi Anchelle Perl upon the occasion of cele-
brating his 60th Birthday on February 6, 2014, and extending to him best
wishes for a future of continued success and well-being; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Rabbi Anchelle Perl.
