LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Rosemary Centi upon the occasion of her
retirement after many years of distinguished public service to the Town
of Guilderland

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge the
significant milestones in the distinguished careers of esteemed resi-
dents of this noble Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Rosemary Centi upon the occasion of her retirement after many years of
distinguished public service to the Town of Guilderland; and
WHEREAS, Rosemary Centi has rendered faithful, conscientious and valu-
able service to the Town of Guilderland, earning the admiration, esteem
and affection of her colleagues; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Guilderland, New York for more than 25 years,
Rosemary Centi is a graduate of Siena College with a degree in Foreign
Language Education/Spanish; and
WHEREAS, Rosemary Centi has been the Town Clerk since August of 2000;
during her tenure, she has instituted on-line resident access to records
and forms, made the Town Code available on the Web, established a pass-
port agent location at Town Hall, and has secured grant funding to
establish a modern storage facility for Town records; and
WHEREAS, Past Secretary to the New York State Town Clerks Association,
as well as Past Regional Director of the New York State Clerks' Associ-
ation, Rosemary Centi is a Registered Municipal Clerk, and the President
of the Town Clerks' Association of Albany and Schenectady Counties; and
WHEREAS, Active within her community, Rosemary Centi is a member and
officer of the Fort Hunter Fire Company Auxiliary, a member of the
Friends of the Schoolcraft Cultural Center, and a member and former
catechist of Saint Madeleine Sophie Church; and
WHEREAS, Rosemary Centi served the Town of Guilderland with loyalty,
honor and distinction, and was governed by a keen sense of duty and
always showed a unique grasp of human problems in her official acts; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband, Daniel, their
three children, Dan (Lisa), Justin (Amanda) and Jacqueline (Jud), and
grandson, Harrison, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of her life
and rejoice in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Rosemary Centi upon the occasion of her retirement after many
years of distinguished service to the Town of Guilderland; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Rosemary Centi.
