LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the Haitian American Business Network
upon the occasion of hosting its 7th Annual Gala
WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the Haitian American Business Network upon the occasion of hosting its
7th Annual Gala to be held in Brooklyn, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Haitian American Business Network (HABNET) believes in
promoting entrepreneurship and financial literacy in its community; and
WHEREAS, Aligned with this vision, HABNET is hosting this special
function in order to raise awareness and financial support for the Young
Entrepreneur Citizen Program; and
WHEREAS, This new initiative equips the youth and young adults ages 16
to 24 with the necessary business skills in order to be successful
future entrepreneurs; and
WHEREAS, A true asset to society, HABNET's distinguished record merits
the recognition and respectful tribute of this Legislative Body; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Haitian American Business Network upon the occasion of host-
ing its 7th Annual Gala; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Haitian American Business Network.
