LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Dr. Wayne Rossi upon the occasion of his
induction into the Warwick Valley Football Hall of Fame by the Warwick
Valley Central School District

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor those indi-
viduals whose exceptional coaching accomplishments and generous volun-
tary leadership captivated the hearts and minds of their community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Dr.
Wayne Rossi upon the occasion of his induction into the Warwick Valley
Football Hall of Fame by the Warwick Valley Central School District in
November of 2013; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Wayne Rossi is a member of the Warwick Valley Football
Hall of Fame Class of 2013; and
WHEREAS, An important figure in the history of the Warwick Valley
Football program, Dr. Wayne Rossi has served the students, teachers, and
coaches of the Warwick Valley Central School District since 1981; and
WHEREAS, Originally serving as a volunteer coach, Dr. Wayne Rossi
progressed in his role to serve the coaches, students, and faculty as a
volunteer specialist in fitness, flexibility, and both the care and
prevention of athletic injuries; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Wayne Rossi was a "school trainer" well before the high
schools had such a thing, and spoke on opening days of school about
health and wellness to faculty, coaches, and students; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Wayne Rossi continues to support the athletic programs of
Warwick Valley Central School District, remaining both a friend and
resource to all; and
WHEREAS, Athletic experts like Dr. Wayne Rossi provide a tremendous
service to the future of our State and Nation, inspiring generations of
student-athletes in their athletic journeys and ensuring their success
in their future years; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Wayne Rossi has clearly had an enduring impact on the
youth of the Warwick Valley Central School District, as well as on the
community-at-large, and accordingly merits recognition and applause for
his impressive dedication to others; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend the
efforts of those individuals who work to support our proud tradition of
public education by providing their skills and talents to our schools;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dr. Wayne Rossi upon the occasion of his induction into the
Warwick Valley Football Class of 2013 Hall of Fame by the Warwick Valley
Central School District and Coach John Garcia; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. Wayne Rossi.
