LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Davis Ryan Chant upon the occasion of
his designation for special recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY
DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Davis Ryan Chant has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Davis Ryan
Chant upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by
the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition; and
WHEREAS, Davis Ryan Chant of Honesdale, New York, is the Chairman of
the Board of Davis R. Chant Realtors, responsible for commercial real
estate sales in a multi-state area; he previously served as company
President; and
WHEREAS, He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Belmont Abbey
College in Belmont, North Carolina; and
WHEREAS, For 56 years Davis Ryan Chant has played an important role in
the economic vitality and development of his community; and
WHEREAS, Genuinely concerned about the well-being of his neighbors,
Davis Ryan Chant participates in numerous civic organizations, including
the Economic Development Council, the Chamber of Commerce, Historical
Preservation and other organizations that support families in need; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his professional and communi-
ty service, a period of constructive involvement, Davis Ryan Chant has
stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Davis Ryan Chant upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Men at Work
Edition; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Davis Ryan Chant.
