LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Major Christopher Albright upon the
occasion of his retirement from the United States Marine Corps after 20
years of dedicated military service

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon this Legislative Body to recognize those
remarkable individuals who have honorably and courageously served their
country in order to protect the life and liberty of our citizens, and
whose military service, professional lives and civic endeavors serve to
enhance the stature of this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Major Christopher Albright upon the occasion of his retirement from the
United States Marine Corps after 20 years of dedicated military service
in 2014; his distinguished military career will be celebrated at a
retirement ceremony; and
WHEREAS, In 1993, Major Christopher Albright, of Albany, New York,
graduated from Bishop Maginn High School, Albany, New York, and began
his distinguished military career in 1994; and
WHEREAS, Major Christopher Albright attended Defense Acquisition
University in 2011, and received the Level II Life Cycle Logistics
Certification, and the Level III Program Management Certification in
2012; and
WHEREAS, He went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Park University
in 2012; and
WHEREAS, In his official acts, Major Christopher Albright was governed
by a sense of loyalty, duty and honor, allowing him to be a natural
leader within his country and his community-at-large; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge the
significant milestones in the distinguished careers of esteemed resi-
dents of this noble Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Individuals who dedicate their lives to military service
merit the commendation and applause of all citizens for their commitment
to the preservation of American freedom; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause to hereby honor and recog-
nize Major Christopher Albright upon the occasion of his retirement from
the United States Marine Corps after 20 years of dedicated military
service; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Major Christopher Albright, United States Marine Corps.
