LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Reverend Saintilma Seide upon the occa-
sion of his designation for special recognition by the Ambassador for
Christ International Outreach Ministry and Gateway Christian Center on
Sunday, May 4, 2014

WHEREAS, The character and richness of religious and community life in
this noble Empire State are nourished and fulfilled through the faithful
concern and selfless devotion of those who would commit their energies
and purpose to the ministry of others; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to bring full recog-
nition and just tribute to those individuals who distinguish themselves
and the ministry through their unremitting commitment and preeminence of
service; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Reverend Sain-
tilma Seide upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition
by the Ambassador For Christ International Outreach Ministry and Gateway
Christian Center at its 4th Annual Pastors and Women of Distinction
Appreciation Awards Gala on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Floral Terrace,
Floral Park, New York; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Saintilma Seide is being recognized for his exem-
plary work and commitment to his community, which serves to empower
others; and
WHEREAS, Born in the city of Cap Haitian, Haiti, Reverend Saintilma
Seide holds a Bachelor of Theology degree from Emmaus Bible College
Haiti; and
WHEREAS, Officially trained and ordained a Minister, Reverend Saintil-
ma Seide sang in a Quartior Choir Christian Ministry and came to the
United States with the group in 1965 to raise money to build the first
Christian radio ministry in Haiti; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Saintilma Seide has been instrumental in the devel-
opment of more than 13 churches throughout the Northern zone, North
Easter, and South Western zones of Haiti; and
WHEREAS, In 1984, Reverend Saintilma Seide and his family migrated to
the United States and three years later he became the Senior Pastor of
Horeb Christian Alliance Church in West Hempstead, New York; and
WHEREAS, Realizing the important role the family plays in the life of
young people, Reverend Saintilma Seide has instituted monthly activities
which seek to engage all members of the family, some of which include
Bible School Institute, family dinner and church picnic, family bowling
night, young adult Friday night, and Sunday morning Praise and Worship
service; and
WHEREAS, An international evangelist, Reverend Saintilma Seide has
ministered throughout Haiti, the United States, and the West Indies; he
is founder of the Children's Christian Academy Outreach in Haiti which
is overseen by his church outreach ministries, Horeb Christian Alliance
Church Ministries, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his loving wife, Rejeanne,
their six beautiful children and 11 grandchildren, all of whom feel
privileged to be a part of his life and rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when a person
of such noble aims and accomplishments is brought to our attention it is
appropriate to publicly and jubilantly proclaim and commend that indi-
vidual for the edification of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Reverend Saintilma Seide upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition by the Ambassador For Christ International Outreach
Ministry and Gateway Christian Center on Sunday, May 4, 2014, noting his

unremitting and compassionate faith and his exemplary service to God,
man, and his community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Reverend Saintilma Seide.
