LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 100th Anniversary of A. Vitullo
Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor those busi-
nesses within the State of New York which distinguish themselves through
outstanding professional behavior, corporate innovation, and enduring
commitment to the community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the 100th Anniversary of A. Vitullo Inc., of New Hartford, New
York; this venerable establishment will celebrate its impressive mile-
stone anniversary throughout April 2014; and
WHEREAS, For 100 years, A. Vitullo Inc. has been providing Central New
York with fine men's clothing and formalwear; and
WHEREAS, Locally-owned and operated by three generations of the same
family, A. Vitullo Inc. has consistently delivered exceptional service
to its loyal customers, guided by the timeless values that have been
their hallmark and tradition: things should be made to last, people want
and deserve quality, and personal attention matters; and
WHEREAS, A. Vitullo Inc. was originally founded in 1914 as an alter-
ation and custom clothing shop in Utica, New York, by Augustino Vitullo;
the business expanded to include ready-made suits and tuxedo rentals in
1946 when Augustino's son, Anthony Vitullo, took over its operation upon
returning home from World War II; and
WHEREAS, When third-generation owner Ron Vitullo took the reins in
1984, he moved the operation to its current location at New Hartford
Shopping Center, where he continues to carry on the family tradition
alongside his wife, Dorene; and
WHEREAS, A. Vitullo Inc.'s continued success in a business landscape
almost completely dominated by national chains that offer less expensive
items is an indication of the high quality of its merchandise and its
preeminence of service; and
WHEREAS, Businesses such as A. Vitullo Inc. exert a strong, positive
influence on the communities they serve and are a crucial element in the
economy of New York State; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges A. Vitullo Inc.'s accomplishment in reaching its 100th year of
being in business, and extends its highest commendation to the company
and its employees, fully confident that, in its future, it will enjoy
the same success which has so characterized its past; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 100th Anniversary of A. Vitullo Inc.; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Ron Vitullo.
