LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Kala Esposito upon the occasion of
receiving the Arts Council of Wyoming County's 2014 Rising Star Scholar-
ship
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, honoring the youth of today, and leaders
of tomorrow, whose character and achievements exemplify the ideals and
values cherished by this great State and Nation; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Kala Esposito upon the occasion of receiving the Arts Council of
Wyoming County's 2014 Rising Star Scholarship at its annual Community
Awards Night in March of 2014; and
WHEREAS, This high honor is awarded to a young artist such as Kala
Esposito, who plans to produce and sell visual art as part of her future
livelihood; and
WHEREAS, Kala Esposito's work will be displayed as part of a show at
the Main Street Perry Gallery in April of 2015; she will also receive
booth space at the Annual Letchworth Arts and Crafts Show and Sale in
October of that same year; and
WHEREAS, Kala Esposito, a potter and sculptor, is the daughter of
Darlene and the late Rodney Esposito; she is a graduate of Pioneer
Central High School in Yorkshire, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Arts Council for Wyoming County has been providing arts
and cultural programs to a vast rural community for over 30 years; it
plays host to a busy calendar of art exhibits, classes, workshops and
concerts; and
WHEREAS, Kala Esposito, a role model for her peers, exemplifies the
potential which is inherent in our most precious resource, our youth;
she has brought enduring honor to her family and her community through
her many artistic achievements; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Kala Esposito upon the occasion of receiving the Arts Coun-
cil of Wyoming County's 2014 Rising Star Scholarship, and to wish her
success in all of her future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kala Esposito.
