LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Schutze Family Dentistry upon the occa-
sion of its designation as recipient of an Ethics in Business Award by
the Adirondack Samaritan Counseling Center

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor those busi-
nesses within the State of New York which distinguish themselves through
outstanding professional behavior, corporate innovation, and enduring
commitment to the community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Schutze Family Dentistry upon the occasion of its designation as recipi-
ent of an Ethics in Business Award by the Adirondack Samaritan Coun-
seling Center, to be celebrated with a Dinner on Friday, April 25, 2014,
at Hiland Park Country Club, Queensbury, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Adirondack Samaritan Counseling Center, established in
1983, recognizes the connections of ethical behavior to the physical,
psychological and spiritual health of the community, as explored in the
story of the good Samaritan; the center affirms the influence of employ-
ment practices, business conduct and workplace conditions on mental
health; and
WHEREAS, In sponsoring the auspicious Ethics in Business Awards, the
Adirondack Samaritan Counseling Center is promoting ethical practices in
Warren, Washington, Essex and Saratoga counties, encouraging local busi-
nesses, agencies and individuals to aspire to be considered for the
awards; and
WHEREAS, Recognized as a medium-size business, Schutze Family Dentis-
try has been in practice for 40 years and is a business which is truly
guided by the philosophy that patients should be kept highly involved in
their care and treated with respect; and
WHEREAS, Under the luminous direction of Dr. John Schutze, Schutze
Family Dentistry is dedicated to providing quality, up-to-date, afforda-
ble care in the most comfortable and timely manner to patients of all
ages; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, Dr. John Schutze has had leadership positions
with the Fourth District Dental Society locally, the New York State
Dental Association, and as a representative to the American Dental Asso-
ciation; he and his wife, Patricia, have had community involvements
which include the American Cancer Society, Juvenile Diabetes Research
Association, the Glens Falls Hospital Foundation, the Boy Scouts of
America, the Glens Falls Rotary Club, and the Tri-County United Way; and
WHEREAS, Schutze Family Dentistry strives to be sensitive to its
patients' needs and to model the benefits that come with good dental
care; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges Schutze Family Dentistry's success, recognizes its contributions
to the local and State economies, and extends its highest commendation
to the corporation and its employees, fully confident that, in its
future, it will enjoy the same success which has so characterized its
past; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Schutze Family Dentistry upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of an Ethics in Business Award by the Adirondack Samaritan
Counseling Center; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. John Schutze, Schutze Family Dentistry, Queensbury, New
York.
