LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Joshua Hughes upon the occasion of his
selection as a Young Professional Up and Comer in the Business Community
by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Joshua Hughes has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special recognition; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Joshua Hughes upon the occasion of his selection as a Young Professional
Up and Comer in the Business Community by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT;
and
WHEREAS, Joshua Hughes, Brewmaster for Roscoe Beer Company, was
selected for this esteemed recognition for being hardworking, ambitious,
and creative; and
WHEREAS, A native of Weedsport, New York, Joshua Hughes grew up on
craft beer and always preferred a full-bodied, full-flavored craft beer;
he sought out new craft brew specialists, and visited breweries before
he became interested in making it himself; and
WHEREAS, Joshua Hughes's love and hobby turned into an illustrious
career after attending SUNY Oswego and graduating from Empire State
College; he joined forces with Roscoe Beer Company shortly after they
received their brewer's license, knowing they could both benefit from
the relationship; and
WHEREAS, The primary focus of this enthused and determined brewmaster,
along with Roscoe Beer Company's mission of sourcing, creating, and
distributing a hometown beer one of which is Trout Town, United States
of America could be proud of, is to create new recipes, produce beers to
sell, and assist in the warehouse; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his sterling career at Roscoe Beer Company, Joshua
Hughes developed their Rainbow Red Ale, a take on India Pale Ale (IPA)
with a deep amber color and IPA characteristics, and their Brown Ale;
currently, he is working on creating a special recipe for the Roscoe-
Rockland Volunteer Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, Expertly in tune to his customers' needs, Joshua Hughes looks
to the growth of Roscoe Beer Company, and to what he can contribute to
the local community; he continues to reshape his local beer market; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Joshua Hughes upon the occasion of his selection as a Young
Professional Up and Comer in the Business Community by the SULLIVAN
COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Joshua Hughes.
