LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending QUEENS COURIER upon the occasion of
celebrating its 12th Annual Top Women in Business Awards and Networking
Dinner on May 20, 2014

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that the quality and
character of life in this great Empire State is indelibly enriched by
the faithful and untiring efforts of those organizations and individuals
who have helped shape the history of media in their area; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
QUEENS COURIER upon the occasion of celebrating its 12th Annual Top
Women in Business Awards and Networking Dinner on Tuesday, May 20, 2014;
and
WHEREAS, This auspicious event recognizes Queens' most influential
women in business whose major achievements and participation in many
community activities throughout the years has helped the borough grow;
and
WHEREAS, The evening features networking with Queens' top profes-
sionals, an expo with the area's leading businesses, dinner, and a char-
ity raffle benefiting a not-for-profit organization; and
WHEREAS, The mission of the QUEENS COURIER is to provide Queens County
with the highest quality local news content in print and online by
reporting on schools, politics, business, social, religious, sports, and
civic activities in the borough; and
WHEREAS, QUEENS COURIER, part of Schneps Communications, is the lead-
ing publisher of community newspapers, magazines, and in-depth local
websites, as well as networking and awards events; other publications
include EL CORRECO DE QUEENS, QUEENS BUSINESS TODAY, HEALTHWISE
MAGAZINE, ASPIRE COLLEGE MAGAZINE, NORTH SHORE TOWERS COURIER, LEHAVRE
COURIER, and KEY TO QUEENS MAGAZINE; and
WHEREAS, QUEENS COURIER has served their community with integrity and
devotion, continuously striving to meet the needs of their readers
through entertainment and enlightenment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend QUEENS COURIER upon the occasion of celebrating its 12th Annual
Top Women in Business Awards and Networking Dinner on May 20, 2014; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to QUEENS COURIER.
