LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Ashley Jeffrey upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of a 2014 Women of Excellence Award by the
Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Ashley Jeffrey upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of a
2014 Women of Excellence Award by the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of
Commerce; she will be honored at its 23rd Annual Luncheon on Friday, May
30, 2014, at the Marriott, Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Women of Excellence Awards recognize women who have
achieved success in their professional careers and dedicated themselves
to community service; and
WHEREAS, Ashley Jeffrey, Executive Director of Girls Inc. of the
Greater Capital Region, has been chosen as the 2014 Emerging Profes-
sional honoree, in recognition of her significant progress toward
personal and professional growth; and
WHEREAS, The Emerging Professional honoree must be in their first
profession or have transitioned careers and have been in the field for
less than ten years; Ashley Jeffrey has demonstrated her commitment to
success in her career path, continually accepting additional responsi-
bilities, making significant contributions to her work environment, and
displaying the leadership skills that are the hallmark of a promising
future; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Ashley Jeffrey has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, It is the conviction of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Ashley Jeffrey upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of a 2014 Women of Excellence Award by the Albany-Colonie Regional Cham-
ber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Ashley Jeffrey.
