LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Amy Johnson upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the 2014 Women of Excellence Award by the
Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Amy Johnson upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
2014 Women of Excellence Award by the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of
Commerce; she will be honored at its 23rd Annual Luncheon on Friday, May
30, 2014, at the Marriott, Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Women of Excellence Awards recognize women who have
achieved success in their professional careers and dedicated themselves
to community service; and
WHEREAS, Amy Johnson, Founder and President of Capstone, Inc., has
been chosen as the 2014 Excellence in Business honoree; and
WHEREAS, The Excellence in Business honoree must own at least 50
percent of a business that is at least five years old; in receiving this
honor, Amy Johnson has ably demonstrated her exceptional ability to
manage her company's human and financial resources, effectively navigat-
ing and surviving business and economic cycles to remain a vital
contributor to her community's economic vitality; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Amy Johnson has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, It is the conviction of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Amy Johnson upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the 2014 Women of Excellence Award by the Albany-Colonie Regional Cham-
ber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Amy Johnson.
