LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Meng-Ling Hsiao upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of the 2014 Women of Excellence Award by
the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Meng-Ling Hsiao upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
2014 Women of Excellence Award by the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of
Commerce; she will be honored at its 23rd Annual Luncheon on Friday, May
30, 2014, at the Marriott, Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Women of Excellence Awards recognize women who have
achieved success in their professional careers and dedicated themselves
to community service; and
WHEREAS, Meng-Ling Hsiao, Chief Consulting Engineer for Reliability,
GE Power & Water, has been chosen as the 2014 Distinguished Career hono-
ree; and
WHEREAS, The Distinguished Career honoree must have at least 25 years
of experience; in receiving this honor, Meng-Ling Hsiao has ably demon-
strated her exceptional commitment to consistent outstanding performance
in her chosen field, as well as progressive personal development and
growth, clearly making long-lasting contributions to her company, her
profession, and her community; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Meng-Ling Hsiao has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, It is the conviction of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Meng-Ling Hsiao upon the occasion of her designation as recipi-
ent of the 2014 Women of Excellence Award by the Albany-Colonie Regional
Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Meng-Ling Hsiao.
