LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending John A. Taylor, Jr. upon the occasion
of his designation for special recognition by Green Tech High Charter
School
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
John A. Taylor, Jr. upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by Green Tech High Charter School; he will be honored at its
First Annual Green Tech High Honors the Community Banquet on Friday,
June 13, 2014, at UAlbany, SUNY, Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, John A. Taylor, Jr. is the Executive Director of School Turn-
around, a program of the Rensselaerville Institute; and
WHEREAS, The Founding Principal at Green Tech High Charter School,
this accomplished man has consistently acted on his belief that all
students are capable of developing the skills, motivation and persever-
ance required to prepare them to complete college; he has dedicated his
distinguished career to creating the learning environments that make
such preparation possible; and
WHEREAS, John A. Taylor served as Vice President of Membership and
Services for the Northeast Charter Schools Network, overseeing oper-
ations and working directly with charter schools to assess school
performance and identify solutions to drive overall school improvement
and increase student academic performance; he also served as a Regional
Vice President of Operations at Mosaica Education, Inc. from 2002 to
2004; and
WHEREAS, John A. Taylor, Jr. has been called upon to contribute his
time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has
always given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, John A. Taylor, Jr. has stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which John A. Taylor, Jr. has displayed
throughout his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend John A. Taylor, Jr. upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition by Green Tech High Charter School; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to John A. Taylor, Jr.
