LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Joseph Lepore upon the occasion of his
designation as the recipient of the 2014 Business Person of the Year
Award by the Dutchess Community College Foundation

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend the leaders of commerce and industry whose accomplishments
contribute to the economic health and prosperity of the communities of
the State of New York, and whose purposeful endeavors as involved
members of the community serve to enhance the quality of life therein;
and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and fully in accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Joseph Lepore, founder and owner of LCS Facility Maintenance, upon the
occasion of his designation as the recipient of the 2014 Business Person
of the Year Award by the Dutchess Community College Foundation; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Lepore started in humble beginnings in the field of
maintenance and seized the opportunity to create his own cleaning and
service company with a partner, branching out on his own by 2001 as
founder of LCS Facility Maintenance Inc. originally helping to clean up
New York City after September 11; and
WHEREAS, Originally located in Fishkill, New York, Joseph Lepore
brought his company to Poughkeepsie as his workforce continued to grow
to its current volume of more than 250 employees; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Lepore considers his business a family business, with
his son Daniel Lepore serving as Vice President and his wife, Maria, as
an active voice in the business; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Lepore is proud to keep local jobs in Dutchess County
and has invested in several local organizations such as the Dutchess
County Economic Development Corp. and has received awards for his
efforts; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our attention it
is appropriate to publicly proclaim and commend them for the edification
and emulation of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Joseph Lepore upon the occasion of his designation by the Dutchess
Community College Foundation as the recipient of its 2014 Business
Person of the Year Award; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Joseph Lepore.
