LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Joseph Vacca upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Men of Vision Gentlemen's Dinner Award
by St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Vacca has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Joseph Vacca
upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Men of Vision
Gentlemen's Dinner Award by St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School,
to be celebrated on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at the View Restaurant,
Oakdale, New York; and
WHEREAS, For the past 20 years, Joseph Vacca has consistently
displayed his exceptional commitment to St. John the Baptist Diocesan
High School (SJB) through his outstanding work as Operations Manager;
and
WHEREAS, This esteemed man has maintained a rigorous schedule and gone
above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that daily activities and
events at the school run smoothly; he has become highly regarded, and
highly relied upon by administration, faculty, and staff members; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Vacca has been called upon to contribute his time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Joseph Vacca has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Colleen, and their
two sons, Joseph and Nicholas, all of whom feel privileged to be a part
of his life and rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Joseph Vacca has displayed through-
out his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Joseph Vacca upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Men of Vision Gentlemen's Dinner Award by St. John the Baptist
Diocesan High School; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Joseph Vacca.
