LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Meals on
Wheels Programs & Services of Wappingers Falls, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the 40th Anniversary of Meals on Wheels Programs & Services of
Wappingers Falls, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, Meals on Wheels Programs & Services of Wappingers Falls has
served the interests of the people of the Empire State by providing
sustenance and support to seniors in need for 40 years; and
WHEREAS, The Meals On Wheels Association of America is the oldest and
largest national organization composed of and representing local, commu-
nity-based Senior Nutrition Programs in all 50 U.S. States; and
WHEREAS, Meals on Wheels Programs & Services of Wappingers Falls is a
comprehensive not-for-profit agency with a staff dedicated to ending
Senior Hunger by the year 2020; and
WHEREAS, This occasion presents an opportunity for this Legislative
Body to recognize and pay tribute to Meals on Wheels Programs & Services
of Wappingers Falls, Inc., in celebration of its growth and the tremen-
dous service it provides; and
WHEREAS, In so effectively carrying out its mission, Meals on Wheels
Programs & Services of Wappingers Falls, Inc. has demonstrated the ines-
timable value of improving the quality of life for New York State's
aging residents; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Meals on Wheels Programs & Services
of Wappingers Falls, Inc., and to wish it continued success; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Meals on Wheels Programs & Services of Wappingers Falls, Inc.
