LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring John Fullam upon the occasion of his
designation as a recipient of the 2014 Mid-Hudson Athletic League Senior
Scholar Athlete Award

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor John Fullam
upon the occasion of his designation as a recipient of the 2014 Mid-Hud-
son Athletic League Senior Scholar Athlete Award, which was celebrated
on May 28, 2014, at its 16th Annual Recognition Breakfast; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, John Fullam has distinguished
himself as a young man of superlative ability, talent, and maturity,
establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purposefulness of
life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years; and
WHEREAS, John Fullam, a student at New Paltz High School in New Paltz,
New York, is ranked 1st in his class, and has participated in various
school sports including Varsity Spring Track for three years, Varsity
Tennis for one year, Varsity Cross County for four years, and Varsity
Basketball for two years; and
WHEREAS, The Valedictorian of his class, John Fullam is involved in
National Honor Society, and is the Captain of both his Cross Country and
Track teams; and
WHEREAS, John Fullam plans to attend college, and major in computer
science; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for his classmates, John Fullam has
brought honor to his family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, John Fullam may stand with pride in his achievements, experi-
encing the satisfaction of his labors and the joy of his accomplish-
ments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as he continues
his education; and
WHEREAS, John Fullam represents the potential inherent in our most
precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to honor
this young man, recognizing his achievements and the promise of his
future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor John Fullam upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the 2014 Mid-Hudson Athletic League Senior Scholar Athlete Award, and to
wish him well in all his future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to John Fullam.
