LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Admiral Anthony G. Pace upon the occa-
sion of celebrating his 40th Anniversary as founder of the Coastal
Patrol Cadet Corps on June 19, 2014
WHEREAS, The quality and character of life in this Nation, and the great
State of New York, is reflective of the purposeful lives and good works
of those patriotic and civic-minded individuals who are dedicated to the
training of young Americans in service to their country; and
WHEREAS, Admiral Anthony G. Pace has given not only of his time and
energies but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and
consequently has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Admiral
Anthony G. Pace upon the occasion of celebrating his 40th Anniversary as
founder of the Coastal Patrol Cadet Corps on Thursday, June 19, 2014;
and
WHEREAS, The Coastal Patrol Cadet Corps is a youth organization dedi-
cated to building upstanding Americans and instilling in them a sense of
honor, responsibility and mature citizenship; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed organization provides instruction to cadets in
numerous categories, including military discipline, leadership, rifle
drill, seamanship, navigation, first-aid, and communications; and
WHEREAS, Admiral Anthony G. Pace founded the Coastal Patrol Cadet
Corps on June 19, 1974, in its original location in Bushwick, New York;
since then, he has admirably overseen the growth of the Cadet Corps, and
provided instruction to generations of young men; and
WHEREAS, In his capacity as Corps Commandant, Admiral Anthony G. Pace
served with loyalty, honor and distinction, while helping youth reach
their fullest potential; and
WHEREAS, Under his tenure, the Coastal Patrol Cadet Corps' trained
officers have provided cadets with character building, and a true under-
standing of the rights, privileges and obligations of all Americans in a
constructive environment which encourages excellence; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Admiral Anthony G. Pace has
displayed throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals and associations of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought
to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the
citizens of this great Empire Sate; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Admiral Anthony G. Pace upon the occasion of celebrating his
40th Anniversary as founder of the Coastal Patrol Cadet Corps; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Admiral Anthony G. Pace.
