LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Joelle Tomossone, a fifth grader at
Ruth C. Kinney Elementary School, for her efforts in helping bring clean
water to people across the world with Water Aid America

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young people within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Joelle Tomossone, for her efforts in helping bring clean water to people
across the world with Water Aid America; and
WHEREAS, Joelle Tomossone has been called upon to contribute her time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has given of
herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, A fifth grader at Ruth C. Kinney Elementary School, Joelle
Tomossone organized a charity walk in support of Water Aid America, an
organization which sends volunteers to distressed locations around the
world to dig wells and supply clean water for people in remote areas;
and
WHEREAS, Joelle Tomossone, through her dedicated work, was able to
raise significant funds for this very worthy cause; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Joelle Tomossone has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Joelle Tomossone has displayed
throughout her young life; and
WHEREAS, With her sense of civic duty and her commitment to others,
Joelle Tomossone represents the best development of the potential which
is inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Joelle Tomossone for her efforts in helping bring clean water to
people across the world with Water Aid America, and to wish her the best
in all of her future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Joelle Tomossone.
