LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Generations Bank upon the occasion
of its designation as the recipient of the 2013 Business of the Year
Award by the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of business organ-
izations and individuals that generously contribute to the welfare of
the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Generations Bank upon the occasion of its designation as the recip-
ient of the 2013 Business of the Year Award by the Seneca County Chamber
of Commerce; this momentous occasion will be celebrated at the Chamber's
Annual Dinner Meeting on Friday, January 24, 2014, at the
Waterloo/Seneca Falls Holiday Inn, Waterloo, New York; and
WHEREAS, A hometown bank that prides itself on being rooted in the
community, Generations Bank was established in 1870 as Seneca Falls
Savings Bank, a New York chartered mutual savings bank; and
WHEREAS, In 2012, the bank's name and the insurance agency's name were
changed to Generations Bank and Generations Agency respectively; and
WHEREAS, Generations Bank recently completed the construction of its
new headquarters building in Seneca Falls; the 20,000 square foot build-
ing was a former grocery store, and is now home to over 50 full-time
employees, with the creation of an additional 15 jobs anticipated in the
near future; and
WHEREAS, Under the direction of President and CEO Menzo Case, Gener-
ations Bank is active within the community; it recently donated to the
Cayuga/Seneca Community Action agency to create an emergency shelter for
women; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to Generations Bank
of Seneca Falls, New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions and individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought
to our attention, they should be recognized by all the citizens of this
great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Generations Bank upon the occasion of its designation as
the recipient of the 2013 Business of the Year Award by the Seneca Coun-
ty Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Menzo Case, President and CEO, Generations Bank, Seneca
Falls, New York.
