LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Joseph Villani upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Education Partner Award by Nassau BOCES

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly acknowledge individuals of remarkable integrity and character
whose endeavors have enhanced the quality of education in this great
State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Joseph Villani upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
Education Partner Award by Nassau BOCES; and
WHEREAS, This most auspicious occasion will be celebrated at the
Nassau BOCES Educational Foundation's Education Partner Awards Gala on
Wednesday, March 25, 2015; and
WHEREAS, True to its mission, changing lives and shaping the future,
Nassau BOCES partners with school districts in providing leadership and
the highest quality educational and support services; this vital organ-
ization is committed to ensuring a successful, challenging, caring and
safe environment which enables students of all ages and abilities to
achieve their maximum potential; and
WHEREAS, The Education Partner Award recognizes those individuals or
organizations that have made a substantial impact on public education in
Nassau County; and
WHEREAS, The future success of our State and Nation is dependent upon
individuals such as Joseph Villani, TASC Preparation Instructor for the
Hempstead Adult Community Education program, who dedicate their lives to
education; and
WHEREAS, The result of many individual efforts, the excellence and the
success of the Hempstead Adult Community Education program is due in
large part to the efforts of Joseph Villani; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career thus far, Joseph Villani has brought an
uncompromising standard of excellence to his work and a warm sense of
caring and concern to every person he educates; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend the
efforts of those individuals who work to support our proud tradition of
public education by providing their skills and talents to our schools;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Joseph Villani upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of the Education Partner Award by Nassau BOCES; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Joseph Villani.
