LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Jenna Turato upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the Education Partner Award by Nassau BOCES

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor the youth of
today, and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and achievements exem-
plify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and Nation;
and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Jenna Turato upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
Education Partner Award by Nassau BOCES; and
WHEREAS, This most auspicious occasion will be celebrated at the
Nassau BOCES Educational Foundation's Education Partner Awards Gala on
Wednesday, March 25, 2015; and
WHEREAS, True to its mission, changing lives and shaping the future,
Nassau BOCES partners with school districts in providing leadership and
the highest quality educational and support services; this vital organ-
ization is committed to ensuring a successful, challenging, caring and
safe environment which enables students of all ages and abilities to
achieve their maximum potential; and
WHEREAS, The Education Partner Award recognizes those individuals or
organizations that have made a substantial impact on public education in
Nassau County; and
WHEREAS, A Senior at H. Frank Carey High School, Jenna Turato, in
achieving this high honor, may take just pride in the inspiration and
contribution to the spirit of excellence she brings to her family,
friends, community and school; and
WHEREAS, This occasion presents an opportunity for this Legislative
Body to wish Jenna Turato continued success throughout her school years
and beyond; and
WHEREAS, As Jenna Turato takes her leave of H. Frank Carey High
School, she bequeaths a legacy of academic achievement, school involve-
ment and community service to which others may aspire; and
WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, this
scholar now stands honorably, with just pride in her accomplishments and
in eager anticipation of future challenges, understanding and appreciat-
ing the caring counsel and support provided by her teachers, coaches and
parents; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Jenna Turato upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the Education Partner Award by Nassau BOCES; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jenna Turato.
