LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Hannah Rose Prall upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY
DEMOCRAT honoring Professional Women and Women in Business

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Hannah Rose Prall has given not only of her time and energies
but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Hannah Rose
Prall upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by
the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT honoring Professional Women and Women
in Business; and
WHEREAS, Hannah Rose Prall earned a Bachelor of Law degree in Europe-
an, International, and Comparative Law which she completed in the United
Kingdom; and
WHEREAS, After passing the bar exam, Hannah Rose Prall has been
licensed to practice Law in New York State since 2008; she is also a
Notary Public; and
WHEREAS, For four years, Hannah Rose Prall has been self-employed
working as an Attorney in Sullivan County, focusing on Family Law; and
WHEREAS, The most rewarding aspect of Hannah Rose Prall's job is
having the opportunity to be the voice for children, and helping them if
only in a small way when they are often going through one of the most
traumatic experiences of their lives; and
WHEREAS, Living by her school motto, "Integrity, Tenacity, and
Service," Hannah Rose Prall's favorite on-the-job moment was when she
was given a cow bell by a client at the completion of his case; and
WHEREAS, Active in her community, Hannah Rose Prall is a volunteer for
the Junior League of Orange County, Immediate Past President of the
Women's Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan County, Recording Secre-
tary for Habitat for Humanity of Sullivan County, member of the Town of
Mamakating Ethics Board, and Advisory Committee member for the Sullivan
County Children's Center; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Hannah Rose Prall has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, When she is not working or volunteering, Hannah Rose Prall
enjoys traveling, running, and knitting and spending time with her fami-
ly; in September of 2014, she ran her first marathon in the United King-
dom, and plans to run the Celebrate Life Half Marathon in March of 2015,
in Rock Hill, New York; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout has been her husband, Stephen, and their
son, William, as well as three stepsons, Jacob, Andrew, and Philip, all
of whom feel privileged to be a part of her life and rejoice in her
achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Hannah Rose Prall has displayed
throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Hannah Rose Prall upon the occasion of her designation for

special recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT honoring
Professional Women and Women in Business; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Hannah Rose Prall.
