LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Ann Santoro upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT
honoring Professional Women and Women in Business

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Ann Santoro has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Ann Santoro
upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the 2014
SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT honoring Professional Women and Women in Busi-
ness; and
WHEREAS, Ann Santoro holds her Broker's License in the State of New
York; and
WHEREAS, Since 1989, Ann Santoro has been an employee at Mike Preis,
Inc.; currently, she serves as Operations Manager managing automation
and technology, and accounting and reporting, in addition to part of the
Human Resource duties for the agency; and
WHEREAS, Ann Santoro began her illustrious career at Mike Preis, Inc.
as a customer service representative; after several years, she began to
take on the accounting functions as well as the technology responsibil-
ities; and
WHEREAS, As the industry changed and automation became a much more
important part of her day, Ann Santoro became a full-time employee in
charge of the automation and accounting duties; in the late 1990s, she
was promoted to Operations Manager, responsible for all technology and
accounting; and
WHEREAS, The most rewarding aspect of Ann Santoro's job is finding
solutions or new and better ways of getting her job done with the help
of her supportive and knowledgeable staff; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, Ann Santoro has the privilege of being able to
assist her customers when needed; she files claims and receives payments
which gives her customers a sense of security knowing they are in good
hands; and
WHEREAS, Active in her community, Ann Santoro is a Director on the
Board of the Delaware Youth Center; she enjoys being part of this vital
organization where her children learned to swim, play soccer, and skate-
boarded, as well as attended many parties, and celebrations; and
WHEREAS, Thrilled her family is able to give back to the Delaware
Youth Center and to her community, Ann Santoro is responsible for the
Center's Annual 5K River Run; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Ann Santoro has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband of 19 years, Doug,
and their three children, Brian, Alexa, and Marissa, all of whom feel
privileged to be a part of her life and rejoice in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Ann Santoro upon the occasion of her designation for special

recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT honoring Professional
Women and Women in Business; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Ann Santoro.
