LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Ines Rosales upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the 2015 Linda Dano Heart Award by HeartS-
hare Human Services of New York

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
outstanding television personalities whose professional lives, personal
endeavors, and community service are an example and inspiration to their
viewers, colleagues, friends, and family; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Ines
Rosales upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the 2015
Linda Dano Heart Award by HeartShare Human Services of New York to be
celebrated at its Spring Gala and Auction on Thursday, March 26, 2015,
at the New York Marriott Marquis in New York City; and
WHEREAS, The mission of HeartShare Human Services of New York is to
nurture and support, with dignity and respect, children, adults, and
families in order to expand opportunities and enhance lives; and
WHEREAS, Ines Rosales is receiving this auspicious award for her
devotion to her profession and sincere dedication and substantial role
as a community leader; she has continuously cast a positive impact on
events and news within her community and displayed an unbridled enthusi-
asm in all her professional and civic endeavors; and
WHEREAS, Ines Rosales serves as a traffic reporter on Fox 5's "Good
Day New York"; in April of 2007, she joined Fox 5 from Metro Traffic,
where she was both a reporter and a camera operator, controlling the
traffic and sky cameras for five New York City television stations; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Ines Rosales served as a traffic reporter, both
in Spanish and English, on NY1 as well as other various radio stations;
she also served as a freelance traffic anchor for WNBC; and
WHEREAS, A New Jersey native, Ines Rosales is a first generation Amer-
ican of Guatemalan descent; in 2004, she graduated from Montclair State
University with a Bachelor of Arts degree; and
WHEREAS, Ines Rosales began her illustrious reporting career through
internships with Sony Music's Automatic Productions and VH1; and
WHEREAS, In addition to her supporting HeartShare, Ines Rosales is
involved with numerous other charities including AYUDA for the Arts, and
the Muscular Dystrophy Association; and
WHEREAS, Ines Rosales's commitment to excellence, and her spirit of
humanity, carries over into all fields of enterprise, including charita-
ble and civic endeavors; she has inspired and enriched the lives of her
viewers, family and friends through her love and respect for others; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Ines Rosales upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the 2015 Linda Dano Heart Award by HeartShare Human Services of New
York; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Ines Rosales.
