LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Patrick Sullivan upon the occasion of
his designation for special recognition by the 2015 SULLIVAN COUNTY
DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Patrick Sullivan has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Patrick Sulli-
van upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by the
2015 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition; and
WHEREAS, Patrick Sullivan graduated from North Rockland High School
before earning a bachelor's degree from St. Lawrence University; he went
on to earn a master's degree in Education and a Certificate of Advanced
Study in School District and Building Leadership from Long Island
University; he is currently working towards a Doctorate of Education at
Manhattanville College; and
WHEREAS, Assistant Principal for the Special Education Division at
Sullivan County BOCES, Patrick Sullivan works to support all component
districts, staff members and students with day-to-day and long-term
objectives which ensure an effective educational environment for all
participants; and
WHEREAS, Patrick Sullivan has been instrumental in helping his
students achieve their highest learning potential, as well as in finding
competitive employment, and leading productive independent lives; and
WHEREAS, Under the luminous direction of Patrick Sullivan, Sullivan
County BOCES specializes in instructional delivery, behavioral manage-
ment, and therapeutic intervention strategies to provide an effective,
positive learning environment; and
WHEREAS, Prior to this esteemed position with Sullivan County BOCES,
Patrick Sullivan served as a Teacher for seven years at various local
high schools; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout has been his wife, who is expecting their
first child this summer, and who feels privileged to be a part of his
life, rejoicing in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his professional and communi-
ty service, a period of constructive involvement, Patrick Sullivan has
stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Patrick Sullivan upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the 2015 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Patrick Sullivan.
