LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Benjamin and Mary Elmore upon the occa-
sion of their designation as recipients of the Leadership Award by the
Autism Society of the Greater Capital Region, New York

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Benjamin and Mary Elmore have given not only of their time
and energies but also of their competence, intelligence and leadership
and consequently have been designated for special recognition; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Benjamin and
Mary Elmore upon the occasion of their designation as recipients of the
Leadership Award by the Autism Society of the Greater Capital Region,
New York, to be celebrated at its 13th Annual Unlocking the Possibil-
ities Gala on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at 60 State Place, Albany, New
York; and
WHEREAS, The Autism Society of the Greater Capital Region, New York,
serves people living with autism in the Greater Capital District and
their families; through advocacy, public awareness, education and
compassionate support, it promotes lifelong access and opportunities for
people on the autism spectrum and their families so they can be fully
participating, included members of their communities; and
WHEREAS, Since 2008, Benjamin and Mary Elmore have been sponsors of
the Autism Society of the Greater Capital Region; they will receive this
auspicious award for actively pursuing ways to introduce creative work
opportunities in the technology field for those on the Autism spectrum;
and
WHEREAS, A family who understands both the challenges and joys of
sharing life with individuals with autism, Benjamin and Mary Elmore's
two sons, Haydn and Griffin, are both on the Autism spectrum, and will
be celebrated at this auspicious event; and
WHEREAS, Longtime residents of the Capital District, in 2003, Benjamin
and Mary Elmore co-founded their technology consulting services firm,
Twin Technologies; since its inception, Twin Technologies has grown to
be a home to over 75 consultants delivering solutions that change the
way companies interact with their clients in a digital age; and
WHEREAS, Under the luminous direction of Benjamin and Mary Elmore,
companies such as Under Armour, Department of Labor, and Northwestern
Mutual rely on Twin Technologies to architect and deliver solutions
which drive key areas of their business; and
WHEREAS, Benjamin and Mary Elmore founded Twin Technologies based on
the ethos of not only changing the digital business landscape, but also
creating an outstanding company culture which encourages exploration of
creativity and innovation; Twin Technologies has attracted talented
individuals who share in this vision for the firm; and
WHEREAS, In addition to Benjamin and Mary Elmore's two sons, several
members of the Twin Technologies team have children on the Autism spec-
trum; on behalf of this worthy firm, they are being celebrated and
acknowledged at this auspicious event; and
WHEREAS, Today, Benjamin and Mary Elmore are the proud parents of five
children, Olivia, Haydn, Sydney, Carrington, and Griffin, all of whom
feel privileged to be a part of their lives and rejoice in their
achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by individuals
for the benefit of others which Benjamin and Mary Elmore have displayed
throughout their lives; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Benjamin and Mary Elmore upon the occasion of their designation as
recipients of the Leadership Award by the Autism Society of the Greater
Capital Region, New York; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Benjamin and Mary Elmore.
