LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Melvin Busler Jr. upon the occasion of
celebrating his 30th Anniversary at WWNY Channel 7
WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Melvin Busler
Jr. upon the occasion of celebrating his 30th Anniversary at WWNY Chan-
nel 7; and
WHEREAS, For more than three decades Melvin Busler Jr. has covered
local sporting events, highlighting area athletes and sharing their
talents with the rest of the North Country; and
WHEREAS, In addition to covering local athletics, Melvin Busler Jr.'s
reports have included sporting events of national significance and his
much-loved "Busler's Beauties" segments; and
WHEREAS, In recognition of his passion for and dedication to his
career, Melvin Busler Jr. has earned many loyal viewers who look forward
to his broadcasts, which always combine a mix of humor and a deep know-
ledge of sports; and
WHEREAS, An individual who has truly gone above and beyond to serve
his community, Melvin Busler Jr. has made a difference not only at WWNY
Channel 7, but to the residents throughout the North Country; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Melvin Busler Jr. upon the occasion of celebrating his 30th Anni-
versary at WWNY Channel 7; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Melvin Busler Jr.
